Freelance translator,
We have a large translation project in the upcoming month.
Now we are organizing a huge project for quite a big customer. The project we
have in front of us is 310 000 words translation into 4 weeks. All this comes to
say that we will a need very well organized team of translators, who are
experienced and have proven their abilities.
Here are the details we have so far:
Deadline: 21th of February, with possible extension if the delay is at client’s
side
Number of words: 310 000 new words
We will need 4 or 5 translators to meet the deadline stated above.
Words per day per translator: around 2500
It is crucial to know how much words per day you can do, so that we can plan the
project in detail.
CAT tool to be used: Trados TagEditor.
Text field: IT – general, IT – localization, IT – software (to be specified when
we have the files)
The subject matter is general IT for a laptop launch.
Rate per word: Because of the large volume of this project, being 310 000 words,
we are definitely looking for a good rate, with discount. Not only can we offer
you this project for over a month work, but also future work in this language
combination, from this customer as well as others.
Additional information: not much at the moment
We will have more information on Monday, when we will probably know if we have a
glossary, what the files are, how big are they, et cetera.
